Global Glamour has returned to racing in typically smart form this time but is faced with a big task on Saturday, after drawing into the 2017 Light Fingers Stakes field in barrier 12.

Global Glamour was a standout performer for Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott through the recent Spring Carnival and resumed with a strong performance for third in the Group 2 Furious Stakes (1200m) on September 3rd.

Failing to match the late pace when sixth in the Group 2 Tea Rose Stakes (1400m), the Star Witness filly responded in the best way possible with a maiden win at the highest level in the Group 1 Flight Stakes (1600m) on October 1st.

Returning to the paddock after repeating the dose in the Group 1 Thousand Guineas (1600m) only one week later, Global Glamour resumed on New Year’s Eve for ninth in the Listed Nudgee Quality (1200m) before storming home to finish second in the Magic Millions 3YO Guineas (1400m) last time out on January 14th.

Chris Waller has an understandably high opinion of multiple stakes winner Foxplay and has confirmed the classy filly in the 2017 Light Fingers Stakes field.

Trialling well in the lead-up to her spring campaign, Foxplay stamped herself as a filly to follow with a smart first-up win in the Furious Stakes, before repeating the dose in the Tea Rose Stakes a fortnight later.

Returning to the paddock after finishing fourth in the Thousand Guineas, the daughter of Foxwedge is drawn ideally in barrier 3 and will be partnered by leading hoop Hugh Bowman.

Godolphin will be represented in the Group 2 for three-year-old fillies after trainer John O’Shea confirmed Gridelin in the 2017 Light Fingers Stakes field.

Gridelin is yet to make an appearance amongst black type company, but carries excellent form into the Light Fingers Stakes and is drawn for an ideal run in transit from barrier 6.

Trialling well in the lead-up to her competitive return, the daughter of New Approach won the Central Coast Stadium Maiden (1000m) by a length on a half on December 21st, before taking out the Ranvet’s Power Formula BM67 (1100m) by more than five lengths, last time out on January 20th.

Tutu will jump from the rails draw in the 2017 Light Fingers Stakes, while the Les Bridge-trained Zenalicious has been charged with overcoming the outside barrier 14.
