Multiple Group 1 winner Global Glamour has been charged with overcoming a wide draw, but remains an outright $3.40 favourite in 2017 Light Fingers Stakes betting markets with leading online bookie Ladbrokes.com.au.

Global Glamour returned to racing in spring for a smart third in the Group 2 Furious Stakes (1200m), but failed to match the late pace when fifth in the Group 2 Tea Rose Stakes (1400m) a fortnight later.

Responding in the best way possible with a maiden win at the highest level in the Group 1 Flight Stakes (1600m), the Star Witness filly became the first filly since Guelph in 2013 to complete the Flight Stakes/Thousand Guineas double when she stormed home to win the Group 1 Victorian race only one week later.

Having resumed on New Year’s Eve with a luckless run for ninth in the Listed Nudgee Quality (1200m) at Eagle Farm, Global Glamour was last seen running second in the Magic Millions 3YO Guineas (1400m) on January 14th.

Spright stamped herself as a filly to follow upon debuting to racing in 2016 and is currently second-favourite for success at 2017 Light Fingers Stakes odds of $4.80.

Capping an impressive debut campaign third in the Group 3 Percy Sykes Stakes (1200m), Spright resumed in spring for a typically smart win in the Financial Services Maiden (1100m) before claiming her first black type win in the Listed Brian Crowley Stakes (1200m).

Last seen savaging the line to win the Group 3 Crown Resorts Plate (1100m) at Flemington on Crown Oaks Day, the Hinchinbrook filly has trialled well in the lead-up to her competitive return and should be right in the finish of the Light Fingers Stakes.

Foxplay has not been seen at the races in 2017, but the talented filly remains the sole occupant of the third line of Light Fingers Stakes betting at a $6 quote.

Foxplay posted consecutive wins in the Furious Stakes and Tea Rose Stakes in spring and was returned to the paddock after placing fourth in the Thousand Guineas.

The Foxwedge filly has the notable advantage of Hugh Bowman in the saddle and will jump from the ideal barrier 3.
